The Utah Board of Water Resources is composed of eight appointed individuals who represent the eight River Districts in the state of Utah.  The board has specific authority and duties which include approving and administering project funding, contracting with agencies at the local, state, and federal levels to create studies on water development and conservation, and working closely with water conservancy districts and the Utah Water Users Association to ensure the state is conserving and properly utilizing Utah’s water.

The board meets about six times a year to discuss projects and studies that need approval, committal of funds, and receive project updates. The meetings can be watched online and notice of upcoming meetings can be found on the Public Notice Website.  Most meetings are held at the Department of Natural Resources, 1594 W. North Temple, Salt Lake City, UT, 84116. Please view the meeting schedule below for dates and locations.
