Bear River Watershed Council

Bear River Watershed Council Coming Soon Banner

Welcome to the Bear River Watershed Council Site!

Watershed councils provide an opportunity for local stakeholders to share information and resources. We believe a coordinated approach will optimize available resources. Coordinating with local stakeholders is essential to holistic watershed planning and management.

After diligent work done by the Division of Water Resources with assistance from The Langdon Group, we are excited to be getting close to having our local watershed council established! We anticipate being certified and convened by Spring 2023.

If you would like to stay informed or have any questions or ideas, please contact us (information is listed below).  We are here to serve you and help ensure that the watershed councils benefit you, your families, the State of Utah, and future generations.

“Having a safe, reliable water supply is critical to Utah’s prosperity, quality of life, and environment. Our changing climate has brought us drier conditions and more extreme weather events. We recognize the importance of good data and collaboration as we move into the future. It will take all of us working together to address Utah’s water challenges. We look forward to working with policy makers, the water community and stakeholders, now and into the future.”

Candice Hasenyager, Director – Division of Water Resources
